Jacob Leaving I remember-Jacob Leaving by ~pretty-yin
The window is open. We hear his sister come home. The door is our last line of defense, the lock our most trusted body guard. We slide into the sheets like ducking into camouflage, curl up, and hide. Louder than the summer insects, the frogs, and the night-birds, his heart beats.
That next morning, he leaves. This is a simple fact. That he leaves. That I leave soon after.
Just as we are together, we are apart.
